This is the place for a completely rejuvenating, relaxing & de-stressing experience. Sit on your balcony and watch our resident Goliath Heron catch his dinner or watch the Osprey as he plays in the thermals.

Enjoy the angel decor in the Angel Sky or the Angel Sunrise apartments with en suite bathroom, open plan lounge which have two beautiful wrought iron daybeds and well appointed kitchen. In our Lavender apartment we have two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Prices available on request.

Take your time while you browse through the interesting products available in our colourful log cabin Gift Shop nestled in the trees overlooking the river. Select the perfect gift for a loved one or simply spoil yourself.

CANDY'S

Just a stone's throw away, pop down for a sunset drink at the Wharf Pub. Warm up in winter around the cosy fireplace where Candy's serve the best burgers in the world from their restaurant. Enjoy a slow cruise on the river on "Candy" Boozeboat of Note!

VREDEFORT DOME

Just an half hour from Vaaloewer, we have our very own World Heritage Site. Just over 200kms in diameter, it was created when a giant meteorite struck the earth hundreds of years ago. The dome area is known for it's unique beauty and consists of valleys, mountains and small ravines covered in lush green flora. It is rumoured that the last ripples from the effect of the meteorite are right here in Vaaloewer, hence the hills and canyon.

PARYS

The town of Parys is situated about 35kms away from Vaaloewer, near the Dome. It is a quaint town on the banks of the Vaal River, which is known for it's antique and art shops, with it's own "Artist's Walk" in the main street.

EMERALD CASINO

Half an hour away in the opposite direction you will find the Emerald Casino, on the banks of the Vaal River. There is an indoor adventure pool, bowling alley, putt putt course, and a zoo with game drives for the kids as well as adults.

GOOSE BAY CANYON

Game drives can be arranged on the Game farm across the river from us.
